Viera, Florida

Real Estate and Community Information Viera is a master planned community located within Brevard County, Florida and adjacent to Melbourne, Florida. According to the 2010 United States census, Viera had a population count of 17,400 residents.

The community, which is divided into Viera East and Viera West, is made up of more than 50 neighborhoods. The neighborhoods include three communities designed strictly for adults and a military retirement community. The community broke ground in 1989.

Attractions, Activities and Events

The community provides a variety of things to do and include neighborhood celebrations, holiday and seasonal events, road races and charitable events.
A most popular attraction in the community is the Space Coast Stadium. The stadium is the spring training home of the Washington Nationals Baseball Team of Major League Baseball. The stadium is also the home of the Brevard County Manatees, a triple A Milwaukee Brewers baseball club affiliate. Baseball fans will enjoy a day at the ball park complete with concessions and comfort stations.

The community is also home to Brevard Zoo. The zoo is home to more than 600 animals representing more than 160 species from Florida, Australia, Asia, Africa and South America. The zoo includes wetlands paddle boat tours, African kayak tour, train ride around the facility and lorikeet and giraffe feedings.
